President & CEO

Elliott Sud is the President of Sud Group, a private real estate development firm founded by his father over 70 years ago. Elliott has been active in sourcing and investing in new real estate development opportunities and joint ventures in Phoenix, Arizona and across the United States and Canada for over the past 40 years. Led by Elliott, the current management team continues the tradition of successful real estate development and management with a “hands-on approach” to all of its business ventures.

Under Elliott’s leadership, Sud Group has dramatically expanded its holdings in both scale and diversity of asset class in both Canada and the United States. Elliott’s vision has always been for Sud Group’s real estate team to think outside the box, while continuing to expand and focus on quality long term business relationships. As such Elliott truly believes that relationships are Sud Group’s most valuable assets.

It is paramount to Elliott that the company’s legacy of quality and integrity, along with maintaining an entrepreneurial culture, continue for the future. This is essential to ensure that it may nurture existing partnerships while simultaneously creating new and successful ones. Elliott is also very supportive of various charitable organizations such as UJA, B’nai Brith, the Toronto General & Western Hospital, and Parkinson Canada. Elliott holds an Honours BA from York University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

Adrian Rasekh

Adrian Rasekh

CFO & Head of Real Estate Development

Since 2010, Adrian has been the CFO and Head of Real Estate Development for Sud Group where he is involved with all aspects of financial underwriting, debt and equity placement, land-use planning, rental and condominium developments, and complex financing strategies for the company’s existing portfolio of commercial retail plazas, residential apartments, and development projects in both Canada and the United States which currently exceed over 5 million square feet.

Prior to Sud Group, Adrian began his career in real estate finance 20 years ago which included brokering commercial real estate debt with CBRE Capital Markets and lending both construction and term debt facilities across all asset classes with GE Capital. Adrian also gained strong experience in underwriting acquisitions and dispositions while providing advisory work for private equity funds and institutions while working at Ashlar Urban Realty. Adrian is a graduate of the University of Toronto and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Additionally, Adrian oversees all aspects of Sud Group’s various real estate private equity funds in coordination with its lenders, real estate law firms, securities law firms, investment banks, external tax partners, financial auditors, and exempt market dealer.

Executive Vice President, Development & Construction

Ron Weinstock brings more than 25 years of Development and Construction experience in high profile projects and master plan communities. His proven ability to champion strategic initiatives and promote and deliver approximately 10,000 residential units in numerous successful projects in Canada, the USA and internationally.

Prior to joining Sud Group, Ron held a position as Senior Vice President at Great Gulf HiRise where he provided leadership on all active construction projects in Toronto and the US, as well as leading the Pre Construction on the upcoming high profile projects.

Additionally, Ron held several key leadership roles over a span of 10 years at Elad Group internationally. Under Elad Canada, as Executive Vice President Ron successfully led the Development and Construction on the award winning Emerald City Parkway Forest Masterplan in North York as well as key master plans for “Cite Nature” and “Nordelec” in Montreal, QC.

Internationally, Ron held a CEO position under the Elad Group where he was responsible for a high-end residential portfolio. Ron holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK

Jeff’s contributions have helped make Export Packers one of the most highly respected commodity trading houses in North America. Jeff is supported by a team of experienced and tenured senior managers who continue to forge new growth for this Canadian-based, global enterprise.

Jeff was the Chief Investment Officer of Hanson Capital Group and was responsible for managing all financial matters. He oversaw operations, analysis and cash management for the company, as well as acting as the investor and banking relationship manager. In addition, he is responsible for raising debt and equity capital for new development and acquisitions projects and any refinancing opportunities. With nearly 30-years of real estate experience, Jeff has structured and financed $6B in real estate over the years.

He previously worked for 10-year as the Chief Financial Officer of PB Bell, a Phoenix based Multi-Family owner, developer and operator where he was responsible for all financial and accounting matters for the organization. During his tenure, PB Bell developed, acquired and sold over 6,000 units with a market value over $2B.

Prior to PB Bell, he worked at Harsch Investment Properties as SVP& Chief Financial Officer where he was responsible for the finance, accounting and IT departments for Harsch, a Portland, OR based multi-faceted, multi-state real estate investment company. Harsch Investment Properties owns in excess of 26 million square feet of property throughout six states in the western US.

Prior to working at Harsch, Jeff was a Principal and Chief Financial Officer at Evergreen Devco, Inc., a Phoenix and Los Angeles-based company whose development projects included commercial, multifamily, office, and single-family lot construction. Evergreen Devco, Inc., is also a preferred Walgreens development company, completing nearly 300 stores and developing more than 110 Fresh & Easy Markets in the U.S. Jeff graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s And has a Master’s degree in finance.

Since joining Pomerleau in 1991 as a project engineer, Francis has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth, leading its national expansion and cementing its reputation through major projects like the Lansdowne Park redevelopment and York University’s Centre of Excellence.

A champion of talent and culture, he spearheaded the launch of PX3, Pomerleau’s in-house training ecosystem, helping the company earn recognition as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. With over 30 years of industry experience, Francis remains deeply committed to advancing Pomerleau’s vision and values across Canada.

He is passionate about entrepreneurship, capital allocation, and value creation, which carry through to his work at Sud Group.

Andrew holds degrees from Western University (B.A.), Arizona State University (M.S.L.B.), and is currently pursuing a Construction Project Management certificate from George Brown College.

His career includes roles such as Manager of Real Estate at Pet Valu, where he oversaw national store expansion, and Senior Manager of Real Estate at Shoppers Drug Mart/Loblaws, managing renewals, dispositions, and new store growth for multiple brands.

A graduate of Seneca College with a Diploma in Business Administration specializing in Retail Management, Jered brings a strategic and results-driven approach to real estate development and acquisitions.

As a trusted advisor with a reputation for integrity, he excels in driving operational efficiency, optimizing team performance, and fostering a collaborative corporate culture. Known for keen business acumen and adaptability in complex, global environments, Ali delivers measurable impact on both top- and bottom-line performance while guiding project budgets, cost-to-complete analyses, and cash flow forecasting. His expertise at Sud Group is invaluable – he drives sustainable growth and aligns financial strategy with organizational goals.

Prior to joining Sud Group, Ali held senior financial and asset management roles across various high-value real estate portfolios. He was most recently the Controller at Alignvest Student Housing REIT, managing assets with a fair market value of $1.7 billion. Before that, he served as Fund Controller at Montez Corporation, overseeing institutional investment and asset management for a $1.5 billion portfolio. Ali has also held significant positions at Granite REIT, with a $5 billion market value, and Kingsley Management Inc., where he contributed to both residential and commercial investments. Earlier in his career, he was Corporate Controller at North American Development Group, managing a portfolio valued at $5 billion.

Ali has a Masters of Commerce from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, and holds the CPA, CGA, and FCCA designations.

Haley Newell brings a diverse background in sales, communication, and property management to her role as Director of Marketing at Sud Group. With experience overseeing mixed-market housing developments, including rent-geared-to-income properties, Haley has developed expertise in managing municipal partnerships, large-scale mortgages, capital expenses, and government grant projects. Since moving to Toronto in 2024, she has expanded her focus to luxury property management and development, where she serves as a key liaison between contractors and Sud Group for all marketing initiatives.

With sales experience from Revel Realty, Haley has gained valuable experience in real estate offices, mastering the sales and purchase side of the market, including offer writing, appraisals, and market comparisons. She has managed cooperative housing developments with Luxor Management in Sudbury and worked with Kipling Group in Toronto.
